Position Overview: A leading healthcare facility in Minneapolis is seeking a qualified Cath Lab Technologist for a full-time day shift assignment. This role requires hands-on experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, with responsibilities including scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating in the Cath Lab. Candidates must meet all listed requirements to be considered.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience
- First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience in scrubbing and monitoring
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings
- Proficiency in procedures including:
- Cardiac Stent Placement
- Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
- Hemodynamic Monitoring
- IABP Placement/Removal
- Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
- Left and Right Heart Catheterization
- PCI and PTCA
- Pulmonary Artery Line Insertion
- Scrub Procedures and Temporary Pacemaker
- Procedural responsibilities include:
- Accurate Monitoring
- Equipment Setup
- EKG Lead Placement
- Access Site Preparation
- Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias
- Room Circulation and Sterile Field Maintenance
- Vascular Closure Systems
Additional Details:
- On-call required approximately one day per week and every 4th–5th weekend (including occasional Sundays)
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs
- Block scheduling not available
- Locals accepted
- Pending licenses accepted
- RTO ideally limited to 5 days
- Guaranteed hours subject to cancellation of up to 3 shifts per assignment without penalty
- On-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum hours
- Scrubs provided by unit
- Charting system: Excellian/Epic
- Parking: $0.55/hour for all shifts
