Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join its diagnostic imaging team for a night shift contract assignment. This role involves operating advanced CT equipment, performing contrast-enhanced studies, and supporting emergency and inpatient imaging needs in a high-volume, trauma-certified facility.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CT equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Transfer and position patients using safe lifting techniques and apply immobilization devices as needed
- Prepare and administer IV contrast media per radiologist protocol
- Capture, store, and transfer digital images for permanent patient records
- Monitor patients for allergic reactions and assist in emergency situations
- Perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and inventory levels in the imaging department
- Assist radiologists during specialized procedures and instruct new personnel
- Review patient history and clinical data to support diagnostic accuracy
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
- Experience with Philips CT equipment required
- ARRT certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Traveler experience preferred
