Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) NIHSS (AHA or APEX) Common Diagnoses / Types of Patients: ESRD Acute renal failure Peritoneal dialysis patients Will treat in the acute hemodialysis suite and in the ICU 1:1 Required Experience / Must-Have Skills: General acute care dialysis nursing competencies AVF/AVG cannulation, CVC access Recognition and management of hemodialysis complications and emergencies Peritoneal dialysis site and catheter care, initiation, and termination Drips / Titration: Heparin: titratable Set rate only: amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone
