Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Labor & Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP) Registered Nurse (RN) for a long-term assignment (LTA) at ININD St V Anderson Hosp in Anderson, Indiana. The primary skill required for this role is RN Labor and Delivery. This position involves providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the entire childbirth continuum, from labor to delivery, recovery, and postpartum. This is a critical role to replace a contractor, and an ASAP start is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work in our dedicated LDRPN Unit 001, which is a 10-bed LDRP unit with a focus on maternal and newborn care. The unit supports approximately 30 births a month and operates a Level I nursery.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing expert nursing care to patients in labor, including continuous monitoring and assessment.
- Utilizing Fetal Monitoring skills to ensure the safety and well-being of the mother and fetus.
- Performing immediate post-delivery care for both mother and infant.
- Caring for mothers and newborns in the postpartum phase, including education on self-care and infant care.
- Collaborating with the OR team to assist with C-sections as required.
- Performing care within the Level I nursery environment.
Required Qualifications and Certifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience is required.
- Certifications: Active certifications are required in:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Fetal Monitoring
