Position: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse
Shift: Day Shift | 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, subject to change)
Location: Clearlake, CA
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Prepare, assess, and monitor patients throughout the intraoperative phase.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain sterile technique and efficient workflow.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of OR equipment and supplies.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and ensure adherence to hospital protocols.
- Maintain readiness for emergency situations, including knowledge of crash cart procedures.
Education & Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Prior perioperative or operating room experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
- Current California RN License — required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) — American Heart Association; required prior to patient care.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) — required within 6 months of hire; recertification every 2 years.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) — required within 6 months of hire; recertification every 2 years.
- Specialty credentials preferred: CNOR, PANAC, or AAOPU (for Outpatient).
